Resurrection Power: The Spirit That Brings Life

Romans 8:11 declares: “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you.”
This verse reminds us that the power of God is not only a source of strength—it is a resurrecting power. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives within us. That same Spirit has the power to breathe life into dead places in our lives.

We must ask ourselves: what are the “dead things” in our lives? What areas have we sealed off because of pain, shame, or hopelessness?

To help us understand this better, let’s turn to John 11:38–44, the story of Lazarus. In verse 39, Lazarus’ sister says, “By this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” In other words, she was saying: “Let’s not open that tomb. It stinks. It’s too far gone.” Isn’t that how we treat areas in our lives that feel dead—relationships, dreams, or even faith? We close them off, hide them, and hope no one sees or smells the decay.

But Jesus doesn’t avoid the tomb—He commands the stone to be rolled away. He steps into that stench, into that hopeless situation, and calls, “Lazarus, come forth!” And Lazarus, still wrapped in grave clothes, walks out of the tomb.

Here’s the revelation: even though Lazarus was raised from the dead, he was still bound. His hands and feet were wrapped, and a cloth covered his face. Jesus then said, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” (John 11:44)

Jesus doesn’t just want to resurrect you—He wants to release you. He doesn’t want you walking around alive but still bound by the stench of shame, disappointment, or regret. He wants you free and fully restored.

Let’s look at another powerful vision in Ezekiel 37:1–10. The prophet Ezekiel is brought to a valley full of dry bones. God tells him to prophesy over them. In verse 7, Ezekiel says: “As I prophesied, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together.” Flesh and skin appeared—but there was still no breath.

It wasn’t until the breath of God entered them that the bones came to life. This is what the Spirit does—He breathes life. Romans 8:11 tells us that this same Spirit lives in us.

So today, I encourage you to invite the Holy Spirit into every area of your life. Let Him breathe on your dead places—your destiny, your dreams, your relationships. Speak life. Speak resurrection.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” —Isaiah 60:1

Prophesy over your life:

  • Speak to your destiny: Arise.
  • Speak to your business, your home, your ministry, your children: Come alive.
  • Let bone come to bone, flesh to flesh, and breath to body.
Let the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead raise you up tonight!

Now, another mystery I want to share with you is the mighty hand of God.

In Judges 16:3, the Bible says Samson got up in the night, grabbed the doors of the city gate along with the two posts, and tore them loose. How? Because the Spirit of God was upon him. That same Spirit—the resurrection power—made him unstoppable. You cannot have the Spirit of God in you and remain ordinary.

Look at Acts 16:25–26“Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”
When the mighty hand of God moves, there is a sudden, supernatural shift. Chains break. Doors open. Foundations shake.

So, cry out:
“Father, let Your mighty hand move in my life. Shake the foundations. Break the chains. Open the doors—financial doors, spiritual doors, doors of favor and opportunity. Let them open in Jesus’ name!”

I declare over you:

  • The Spirit of the Lord will rise up within you.
  • Every dead thing will receive life.
  • God’s mighty hand will bring breakthrough.
  • You will arise and shine, for your light has come!

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
