God Hears You

Today, I want to share something encouraging with you: God hears you.

Let’s look at a few scriptures that affirm this powerful truth:

  • Genesis 21:17“God heard the boy crying…”
  • Exodus 2:24“And God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.”
  • Exodus 3:7“The Lord said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out…’”
  • Exodus 6:5“I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.”

What is the common word in all these verses? Heard. God hears.

Psalm 18:6 echoes this beautifully: “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.”

Let this be a reminder today: God hears you. God sees you. God knows what you’re going through.

Bring this truth into your prayers. Cry out to Him—about your home, your children, your health, your life. Ask Him to visit you, to shine His face upon you, to breathe life into weary places, to strengthen every limb weighed down by burdens. God will hear and help you.

Let’s also reflect on Genesis 21:16–17, which tells the story of Hagar—a woman cast out with her son, a victim of circumstances beyond her control. She was sent away with barely any resources, wandering in the wilderness. When the water was gone and death seemed near, Hagar couldn’t bear to watch her son die. She moved away from him, unable to listen to his cries.

But God could.

The Bible says, “God heard the boy crying.” Not the mother’s voice, not a priest’s prayer—the cry of the boy. God hears even the silent, desperate cries of our hearts.

Tonight, let this truth take root in your spirit: God hears you.

  • Psalm 34:17“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”
  • Psalm 116:1“I love the Lord, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy.”
  • 1 John 5:14“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
  • Psalm 66:19“But God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.”

Whatever your situation, however loud or silent your tears, know this: God hears you.

God bless you.
